RICH NATION BUT A HOME OF POOR SOULS

Kenya rich nation but a home of poor souls

Longstanding corruption,economic underdevelopment so impossible to escape

Farmers watch helplessly as drought rage their only source of livelihoods

Schemes getting bleak and looking bleaker with each day that the rains fail

Some are getting angry at mother nature for not opening skies

Some are angry at the government

Everyday goes without food,poor housing,poor health care

All these are bringing us to misery and destitution

We are enraged

They promised us heavens on earth

The SGR has not only been marred with controversies of plunder but it has saddled us with heaps of debts

It was just a promise good to embellish the politicians’ manifestos but not their bank accounts

With their pockets full of billions

Always do little to nothing to help the poor souls

The idea is that we are well off so we have to consume to the bottom

They think it is the best way to live

Looking back on the Newspapers and live on Televisions

We see despicable images of scrawny children clutching on empty bowls

Hungrily feeding from the empty tanks along the streets

Begging for small amounts of cash

No one seems to show concern to them coz everybody is in a hurry and aloof??
