They always do
Don’t trust humans
They always walk away
She knew I was bleeding
My soul was breaking down and needed a shoulder
Yearned for someone to tell me it’s okay to cry
It’s okay to fall and rise up
To hold my hand and tell me it’ll be fine
Just someone to show me the right path to take
But she still walked away
She had priorities to follow
More pressing things to attend to
More important than my wailing soul
Than how I wanted her by my side
I thought she was to stay
She would walk with me along
But all she did was to walk away
It’s okay she had important things than me
Supper priorities had her busy I guess
But the fact remains
I wasn’t a priority to her
Maybe I never mattered at all
And she had to let me go
Let my soul torment in pain and hurt
She watched me die slowly
Even when she promised never to leave
