BLUE TICKS PART 08

Mercy has chronicles to tell
Someday she’ll tell her grandkids at nightfall
How she cried and her eyes did swell
Still her love life was on a fall
Let me tell you what I recall
After Gary went
Someone came with an accent
An English one so fluent
At this point he proved a saint
With descent clothes he would flaunt
Took her on vacations
Their pics were on IG as exhibition
She was proud of her selection
Her acquisition was without application
But every gift has a price
And every favour is a test
She owned what she chose
Breakfast she ate bread with zest
But soon he made her a parent
Gary usually had temporary tenants
So her time was spent
And her dreams were stagnant
She was left broken
And her pain unspoken
She looked shaken
She was forsaken
