THE GALLOWS

See off late I’ve been staring deeper into those gallows
My heart gladdening with every closer inching
And I can feel the cold embrace me slowly
My mind in synchrony with the quietus tunes
Dancing in a quietened merry of a tired soul
The heaving rains soaking through me like a sponge
And I can almost smell it every single morning
Engulfed in my mind I’m chasing at it
And with every other incision on my wrist
I gather a little more compulsion
To gurgle down the bane under my pillow
Set free a mind that never settled
For even my dreams are a hasty daze
My vision corrupt with flaring rage
My demons brooding, a faithless bunch
My sadness pitiable from the eyes I wear now
They don’t let me vent it all out
But I read of a different road to the malignant valley
Its dreary pains with easy lastings
And I can’t help but yearn for the most daring.
