DRAWNED TO THE SHADOWS

It was just yesterday, so it seems that
My lover stood right here,
His arms around my waist, his warm breath on my neck.
His sweet nothings still ring in my ears,
Every single word. If there was something
To give to have it all back, I would gladly lay
It down.

From dusk till dawn the sorrows of my loss gets
Back to me, draining my soul.
By the window I stand, loneliness
Plunging my will to live into oblivion.
Thoughts of ending it all flooding my mind;
Step out the window to the ledge, and set yourself free in the wind,
A voice would urge. Maybe its right,
Perhaps there isnt hope for me,
I dont even have a shoulder to cry.

Day in day out, the solitude pries; for whats left;
all that is to find Is loneliness, nothing more but less.
My Cheeks feel hot, my eyes
Reddened and glistened with tears. Tears of what Ive Lost,
Tears of what I have become.
