MEN SUFFER TOO

At the expense of their gender

They struggle silently

From beliefs, to poor misconceptions

About how they ought to deal with issues when violated

Yes, they get violated too

But for too long, society sadly believes they don’t

Or if they do, they are men, they should handle it

From phrases such as, man up

This is how you learn to become a man

Toughen up

Men dont cry

But we forget they are human beings too

With a mind and emotions

Yes they feel

Yes they break

Yes they hurt

But can’t speak because of how they will be perceived

What we don’t realize

This causes more harm than good

So it’s time to work on our mindsets

Build a society that champions for men who get violated

So that they can boldy seek the help they need and receive healing in the end
