Stuck in the abyss
of caste religion gender and creed
Here we humans are with our religious pride and greed
Challenging the very essence of human rights
Succumbed to inequalities of all types
Heading towards despotism
Forgetting totally the world called altruism.
Women empowerment is the biggest derision
Those professing it big time misogynist.
Be it he for she
or some other xyz
Gender equality will only prevail
when illiteracy in women curtails
He is a black
So therefore no rights
He is a white
So welcomed everywhere with respect and delight
For those reserved quotas
everything is a piece of cake
Make it to the pedigree institutes with full pride and fate
We on the other hand
slog and gruel
burning the midnight’s oil
we still fail
When will the inequalities end
when will the torments end
when will we inhale
the equality filled air
