Let me show you my scars,
They are not visible, no,
They run deeper than my skin,
Deeper than the deepest parts of my head,

Let me show you my pain,
Days that I don’t sleep at night,
Wondering why I was never enough,
Soaking my pillows in pools of tears,

Let me show you my safe spaces,
In the shower room, naked, crying,
I can’t see my tears,
The water knows my pain,

Let me show you how broken I am,
Let me tell you of late-night cries,
Let me tell of my bruised heart,
Let me show you me.
