By Cornelius Kipkosgei
She hides her face, sodden with tears
Behind her troubles and sorrows
Hoping that with time she might be free
Poor girl! And the chains of yesterday.
Her eyes glimmer and glitter
Like two stars up high in a dark night
At the verge of uncontrollable tears
I wish she could feel peace in my arms.
She has shut herself from the outside
Lost everything but her broken self
Her sad soul cries; take my anguish
The sad Rosa girl cries; take me away too.
