To kiss you like my life depended on your lips,
But I’m complicated and everything in between,
I wish I could go back and make us never happen,
You told me all your secrets, hoping I’d keep them,
Hoping that I will always be your confidant,
But I let you down and I hurt your soul,

But I’ve been chasing a different kind of feeling,
Chasing a trail of toxic feelings to numb me,
Making you afraid to trust someone close,
You can’t love a dark soul like mine,
I let you down in many ways that I regret,
