By Sheila Mumbo
You have succeeded in making me feel,
Feel things that I never thought I would,
Looks like I set the bar too high for myself,
Little did I know I was fooling myself,
I look at me and wonder how I think,
Why I don’t do things a certain way,
Is my brain that limited and half empty,
It feels like I don’t even know who I am,
You make me feel like I’m so stupid and naïve,
Maybe I’m too loose because I play nice,
Because you have a different version of me,
But what if you are right in everything,
You scold me and say all these nasty things,
If I made a mistake I stand to be corrected,
Just don’t make me feel stupid for that,
Be the one who lights up my path.
