WHY?

I knew we we’re so sweet,
Looking rosy red like the beet,
My nostrils scenting a clumsy premonition,
That this wasn’t good from the kickoff whistle,
But a bit better than my last wrong.

And so a dear chance I gave you,
You impressed by the time it took,
Your predecessors should accoladely acknowledge,
I do not know what they are to make of your edges,
Cause the past is frozen in the past.

All I wanna ask is why me?
Why play games with me?
Why put my fragile heart at the devil’s empty brink?
Risk greater than a myocardial infarction steam?
Why did you do this, why last?

Why didn’t you back out sooner?
So not to raise my hopes higher?
I was content the way you found the Mary me,
You stirred up the peace from within Mary me,
War, the only remedy, will marry me.

Cause I cry unconsolably in solace,
Happiness only but a vague scent,
I want you back into my dead life at all costs,
But I can’t mend or risk a new one to my cost,
It was only you that fit in there.
