When did we move from lovers
to strangers?

From supporting each other
to exchanging pitiful glances?

From cuddles and dates
to avoiding brushing shoulders on the way

From talking all day and night
to not saying a word to each other?

Each unsaid word,
adding a brick to the wall separating us?

How was it so easy for you
to move on from us?

How could you go on
as though i never meant anything to you?
As though i never mattered?

How could you live with yourself
knowing what you had done to me?

How could you forget so fast
how broken and dejected you left me,
even as i begged you to stay and fight for us?
