“Nice guys finish last”? Although this is not an absolute and depends on the type of “racing” in general I think that nice guys do finish behind. When I read so many answers or rather blogs that say it’s nonsense, I wonder if we are talking about the same dimension or the same planet with the same humans. Of course there are nice men and women. I also find it very dumb to think that all nice guys are just fakes or manipulators, it shows how the world is really upside down and really rotten. History shows us that being a good person with great values often makes life very difficult. This does not only concern boys or men, but also girls and women.

Generally, being kind or nice implies having scruples, empathy, not wanting to hurt others. And I’m sorry to say this, but in a lot of areas it doesn’t help. If you meet nice people like you that’s great, but there are also a lot of people out there who are not nice and will just try to exploit you. In a fair and beautiful world, the good guys would win every time, but do you really think that we live in a fair world? Do you remember the last time when people who genuinely wanted to help the world were elected? Do you think the richest people on the planet are the nicest? Have wars, injustices, atrocities and all forms of violence stopped? No, no and no. Who are the leaders? Who are the people that the people follow? The good ones ? If someone sincere, is trying to save the world or help, at best he is ignored, seen as a sucker or a madman. At worst, he’s murdered. People generally follow those they think are strong and ruthless, not those who are kind. Men and women alike, as soon as we are nice, we have a code of conduct. Code that unscrupulous people do not have.

Who climbs the fastest in the hierarchy of a company? Someone with scruples or someone who will do anything to make his own success? What about dating ? What makes you think that’s so different in love ? Cause it worked for some ? Nice guys are happier at the end ? Really ? Do you even think about how many nice and good persons get depressed and kill themselves? Is it because they won ? I’m not saying it’s impossible for a nice person to win, just that it’s often more difficult because they set limits on themselves. What do you think is easiest to do? Do good or bad? Build or destroy? To be a kind person, as courageous and positive as that is, is also to choose the difficult path. I feel like many are trying to deny the ugliness of this world or to uplift the human species as a whole.
