Instead of my critiques
And when the cycle began
He didn’t know when to stop
He fell in love,
With my beauty
Instead of my character
And when age came and it all faded away
He didn’t know what to do
He fell in love
With my smooth canal
Instead of my swift soothing
And when time spilled its magic
He didn’t have what to love
He fell in love
With my leads
In variant pursuit of fame
Instead of my natural coat
Button he pressed suppressed
The constant love
