Choosing You

Y’know,
Choosing you,
Was supposed to be a delight,
Something that would shed light,
In the life y’all had ruled dark for me.
It was supposed to make my life easier,
But choosing you,
Was the greatest mistake.
I ever made it in my life.

Choosing you,
Turned me,
Into the person everyone hated,
And only because,
I loved you too much,
While you,
Hated me,
For loving you,
Oh, the irony.

I always thought,
Having one person who understood me,
Was better than a hundred people,
Who were in for the hopeless ride.
So I trusted you.

I loved you,
I changed, for you.
I wanted to be good, for you,
So I ruined people for you.
I made lives hard, for you.
I suffered, for you,
However,
I got a mental hospital admission,
Because of you.

Maybe I was too selfish,
In my love for you,
But it was because,
I loved only you.
Everything,
That happened in my life,
Every decision I made,
The good and the bad,
And even those,
That horrified humanity,
I made them,
Because I loved you,
But just like everyone else,
You ripped my heart out.
