In one morning,
So many hearts were broken.
The strongest had taken the knee,
And the wildest,
A chill pill.
It was no longer about who would win,
And who wouldn’t,
And it wasn’t about who had been chosen,
And who had been forsaken,
Because right there,
In the middle of it all,
In the chaos that bound them together,
Right there was a battle,
In an endless war.
And so it was,
A battle,
Between love and love,
Creator and creation,
Hell, even betrayal,
Got her chance to show up.
The one whose face,
They had marked in red,
Was the very face,
That had the answers,
They all yearned for.
It was a test,
Of who would hold on longer,
The greatest quest of self-control,
In a pit where love,
Was covered in shards.
They were different,
Form all those,
Who had come before them,
They were stronger,
Had more power,
And an army,
That could make the giants yield,
But even with all that power,
They were bested,
By a trio,
That wanted destruction,
And the one they trusted the most,
Had engineered the betrayal,
Maybe love,
Also lied.
