My Untold Shame

You will always know
When a dangerous predator lurks
Its stealth and piercing eyes
Even in the depth of the forest
Where the predator awaits its prey
Yes, the predator waiting for an ambush
Your hair untangles, skin freezes.

How would I have known, that the path was not safe
That a predator awaits me
With dark fur and yellow piercing eyes
Paws so mighty
Hands full of grim dirt
The yawn of a hungry hyena
Teeth seething with mocking smile and hunger.

Unfed
There was no escape
Falling into the ambush
There was no escape
I got caught.

I got caught
With clothes torn
Skin pricked, the pain of a thousand needles
I barely escaped
And bundled myself in shame untold
My protectors attacking me
Cheekiness was the pay to price
And story remains untold.
