HAPPY BIRTHDAY (Cliff)

In all times and ages, there’s existed men,
Always known for being ungrateful creatures,
With a long history of not being appreciative,
Yet always full of desires and a lust so great,
Outweighing their uneven sense of gratitude,
Not even for the best of all gifts, the gift of life.

Tick tock, tick tock, time was moving fast,
Yet everything seemed to be at a standstill,
There was tension was all over the place,
The aura, filled with fear and anxiety.
A day like today, all odds were beaten.
Even the most reticent of them all, papa,
Kept pacing, impatiently excited and happy.
His thoughts were scattered over the place,

Behind the curtains she lay, tired, lost,
And even then she was perfect as always.
The white coats gave her little to no space,
Barking orders around like a command center,
Do this, do that, we’re losing her, push this in.
And with one last sigh, with one deep breath,
With the energy she had left, we heard a cry.
And we saw a totally different version of papa.

He was genuinely happy, jumping and jubilant,
The introvert and loner was gone, you did that.
And mama, though tired she was happy too.
Ambitious, beauty, and perfection, our joy.
Everyone saw your determination that day,
Ten minutes old yet they said you’d be strong,
Funny how you turned out to be all that.

For a strong woman you have grown into,
Beaten all the odds of life, always laughing,
Despite the challenges in life, you’ve managed.
An exquisite beauty you’ve grown into dear,
No…you are in fact at the epitome of beauty,
And has all the town folks running after you,
For you are a treasure, everybody’s pride.

May you get to celebrate more years in this world,
Blow more candles of life, of peace, candles of hope,
And your determination, could bring down walls.
A well-deserved toast for you, cheers sweet love,
To more years of friendship, of love and of joy,
To years of strength, happiness and family,
These are my wishes for you sister, happy birthday.
