If my thoughts left my mouth,
Then everyone would call me mad,
The church elders would call me possessed,
I would be a symbol of madness.
But the voices are true,
My thoughts are valid,
My feelings don’t deceive me,
I can feel it.
On some nights,I lay on my bed,
And all I hear is death calling,
All I feel is my spirit leaving,
No, Don’t judge me yet.
I have no desire to die,
I love life,
But life seems not to love me,
Death seems to creep in my atmosphere.
I no longer smell my cologne,
The smell of death dominates,
I need to tell it someone,
I need someone to hear me,
Not judge me, not to advice me,
Someone to listen my thoughts,
To hear the thoughts that cage me,
I want to live, but no like this.
Not like a hunted man,
Not like a tormented man,
I want to live like a free man,
But no one would hear me.
Everyone thinks I’m going mad,
They all listen to judge my words,
To condemn my tormented mind,
But if only someone would listen.
