Underneath The Green grass

It’s 5th May on this side.
Mother’s day they call it.
We brought flowers for you today.
Gentle tulips for a beautiful soul
Red. We thought you’d like that.

There’s a heaviness hovering around
Our chests heavy, and hearts so cold
Like yours turned when you left to the sky above.

And somehow I still marvel at your smile
The gentleness beneath the tough act
And the love that came in abundance even when we didn’t deserve it.

Mom, i loved you when you were here.
I loved you when left
And still love you even if it’s just your memory I have left.

Dad’s happy.
At least he found some peace later on
We’re happy too.
I got married and you would be a grandma now.

We’ll water what you left behind.
And as daughters and sons of a queen,
We’re here to crown you,
Mother of the day, month, year and century.
Keep resting easy, until we meet again.
