Are You My Mother or You Are On A Break

I have called on you countless times,
But you haven’t responded.
Called on you in the face of danger,
But you turned your back and voice on me.

Isn’t it funny,
How the voices of your family,
Don’t warm your heart anymore?
You said our hearts have been turned against you,
Yet you’re the one ignoring our desperate pleas.

How does being a mother work?
This is not the motherhood I see in society,
I don’t see a mother.
All I see is a religiously caged fanatic,
Who is ruining her family with her own hands?

I can’t help but wonder,
If you have thought about life after this phase,
I think not,
I don’t think you even have any thoughts left.
In that pretty head of yours.
Everything you are right now,
Isn’t a mother,
But a prisoner of religious leadership,
And the hypocrisy of religion.
You aren’t my mother,
You are on a break.
