Time is nigh, my path awaits
wish me well, a little prayer a day
it pains me to not spend those days with you,
only God knows how much I ache for you
a run through the woods without you, a tear for my looming solitude
a minute, let me hide my tears, just a second, to breath out my fear
should my journey seem long, and the time unbearable, then hug her for me, our beautiful daughter

I carry a picture of you two, for every minute I’m away from you

from my hands you might be far, but an embrace I’ll blow your way
a silent prayer, to keep you I pray
a million rambles still got to spare, but a few I’ll share
keep our love burning, never lose your spirit my dear
hold her closer, so she’ll never fear.
I’ll miss you dear! a candle in my heart, the cold corners you always thaw.
