REVULSION

I know hurt because I’ve had my heart shattered incessantly,
Over and over,
I know revulsion for the reasons that I’ve had a share of my own
I know loss as I’m entwined with it, stuck in its icy grip

I know too much yet too little
I’ve known good pain
I’ve known sweet detest
Except I don’t grasp

I’m closed out of redemption
In a place where lonesomeness surges unseen to the eyes
Though visible to the hearts that pries

I’m no hero of the story
I’m the villain with a stake to the heart
I’m what life flashes down the drain
Only to be recycle to be flashed some more
I’m no champion, alas! I’m champion
Of the losers.
