CHANCES

On her bed she sat
Pills, blade, sisal rope
Which one would end the game faster?
Her tears were stained
And her mind blocked
Nothing but darkness
Darkness. Darkness? Darkness!

She was only human
Something she struggled to explain
The numerous attempts went wasted
All doors shut at her face
Everyone withdrew
With a big belly, she knew it was over

None harkened to her cry
None believed that forcefully her womanhood was taken from her
She didn’t ask for that pretty face, the thick thighs
And now she has to swim against the tide
Pills, blade, sisal rope
Which one could end the game faster?

For once she let go of the wheel
She found peace in war
She believed in a better life after death
Where tears never tear
Where her flower would blossom freely
And her roots deeply venture
Pills, blade, sisal rope
Which one would end the game faster?

I wanna knock at her door
I wanna pick her calls
I wanna write back
I simply want to sit down and listen
Let her cry on my shoulder rather than I cry in her grave
I wanna tell her of a tree that grows after been cut
