JUST A GIRL

By Sunken Heart

Am guessing I was just an excuse,
One fight and you crippled me
One lie and you turned on me
My faults are no greater than yours
I understood, I was just a girl
But a girl who wanted you as a man
Three months later and no one knows
No one knows am still hung up on you
It’s because of the death words I took, my vows
My heart still binds you to me
I know it will come a time I have to sever the ties
But that doesn’t mean I’ll forget the lies
I know what you say out there behind my face
Stop being a coward n say the truth
Say you were so stuck up on the perfection of your image
It’s not like I indulged in a ménage
In your eyes am at fault, in your eyes SHE is right
I’ll be damned if I forgive for that
I’ll be damned if I ever forgive you at all
Rage builds  inside me day by day
May I control this anger
