Why do feelings hurt at night?
The mind yearns for rest,
My heart aches in pain,
Memories still stuck in my head,
Of how we-
Spent our nights out,
Admiring stars and moon beauty on our way back,
Going for long drives and dinner date,
Was that all there was for us?
Feels like a crime,
For letting me go,
That you broke us and left,
Was it a waste of time?
Now am looking through the photos,
Erasing your memories from existence,
To ease my soul of the distance,
Wishing it was different,
Pretending to be victimized,
A leech sucking from my jugular,
Never knew what I had until I lost it.
