Walk in the Path You Chose

Walk in the Path You Chose

I now walk home,
And all night I am alone,
Moments spent alone are feeling like a therapy,
Every second I am now ever happy.
I turned you from a girl to a lady,
Maybe you will now appreciate our moments together,
Sadly when we aren’t together.

I wrestled you from doing hard drugs,
I even got scars from your plugs,
Now I have controlled all my fears,
And I cannot again fall for your crocodile tears.

You did one noble thing to me which was leaving my heart in pieces,
For I placed the pieces on a love board,
And now I have captured the queen of my life.

Like the Holocaust, you killed all my feelings, love, romance, and emotions.
But now I can feel love simmering, ready to erupt through the fissures you left in my heart.
You were my sunset but now I’ve got my sunrise.

I will never pick your calls again,
I’ve heard enough cries from that end,
Wipe off the tears and be the Leo woman I had made you be.

PAT ALBERT.
