Responsibilities
- Support individuals with mental conditions to help them be heard, to fight for their needs, and to defend their rights
- Network with other advocacy providers within the wider community to enhance awareness of our service
- Join the mental health campaigns and work towards making the world a better place.
- Educate the community on the importance of mental health
- Be the unbiased listening ear for the community.
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Have Active listening and compassion skills
- Have a degree in psychology and counseling [Optional]
- Knowledge of group behavior and dynamics, societal trends and influences, human migrations, ethnicity, and cultures and their history and origins.
- Having practiced non-instructed advocacy
