I tore open your chest and tried to taste your soul, my tongue now taste of darkness, the night and a combination of moonlight and scented petals.
I remember the calmness within you whenever you killed me, the sad gleam in your eyes like a puppy lost at sea but not scared, the beauty of your million shadows all hovering over me.
And now, as broken as we may both seem, I still wanna reminisce on those times when all I lived on was how next you would ruin me. It hurt, but I loved.
Maybe, I hope, I changed you for the better, maybe, you’ll learn to love with peace, maybe one of those nights, you’ll yearn for me.
