HER LITTLE GIRL.

It was new beginnings,
The common cliché,
The voices of expectations,
Pens noted the resolutions,
Promises of transformation all loud,
Hearts kept desiring new achievements,
New levels, new beginnings,
It was about achieving for fame,
Smiles for the frame,
But she was different,
She wanted something more,
Her expectations curled down to one,
She wanted to make herself proud,
To make the little girl in her proud,
For her that was worth a tag expectations,
An achievement beyond measure,
The little girl was the treasure she carried,
And all she needed was to be proud of herself,
That was all she needed,
It was all she wanted,
She had to make the little girl in her proud,
Make that little girl happy,
All that mattered was the little girl she let down,
She had to heal the little heart,
Patch up the scars,
Embrace the mistakes, and rise
Her resolution was to rise,
Hang on to the little hope she had,
Strive through the hard times,
She had to be strong like the little girl she wanted,
She had to remember the promises she made to herself,
The little girl in her had to rise again,
And be proud of the big girl she wanted to be.@ Nyakayu.
