My African piece of royalty
My beautiful bundle of joy
My explicable source of smile
Broke my south African space of loyalty.
She said her old flame still tasted sweet in her lips
And that his bold eyes still led hers to her hips
She said she couldn’t stop talking to him in sleep
And that she wanted to continue sleeping deep.
She said that he changed
And that her hair started growing differently
And that her palms felt warm
And that my stay only meant harm.
I already gave up my security
I couldn’t give her more love and purity
Her words already stained my stainless heart
And so she left it to rot and die
So Iam left wondering,
Of her preferences,
Of her interest,
Of her everything,
That I failed to fill each and every day.
