She wanted to make her wrongs right
Deep within her she wanted to keep trying
She was only human but they still started a fight
Sorry couldn’t prevent the petals from drying
Regret couldn’t bring back the tree to its very height
She loved roses and forgot they’ve got thorns that prick
She loved heights and the sky, but she ailed from a broken wing
She was like a dandelion forcing its way through a brick
She hoped like the sunflower that strength the sun would bring
But hailstones from angry dark clouds is what she would pick
Hope and light is what the white raven brought
But still around the black ones lingered
A losing battle she just couldn’t have fought
So away to hope and light she gave her heart
And to darkness, rage, pain, fear she became an accolent
