Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru Impeached!!

Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has been impeached this afternoon after the motion to impeach her came to an end.

Members of the Parliament voted in the motion to impeach her and this is how they voted

• Yes 23
• abstained 4
• Absent – 6

A two thirds majority was enough to impeach her. She will therefore not be able to continue discharging her roles as a Governor in Kirinyaga County until the senate make clear communication is in two weeks time.
