In our black world
A word is said
That if making it in the village becomes thinner
Go to town and search for greener pastures
So from the village was a departure
And to a city was an arrival
Where life is a rival
Where making it isn’t a riffle
And after making it you’re told bravo
In the town everyone is busy
And it’s easy being messy
To her it looked lousy
At the same time noisy
Everywhere was jealousy
And no one paid courtesy
First she was robbed
“Let me help you” it was dubbed
The next thing she found herself in someone’s bed
She felt bad
But it had already happened
She was molested
She tried to yelp
Asking for help
Nobody came to her rescue
She was ignored
In the streets she became a beggar
Her pain and struggle getting bigger and bigger
Begging became her major
She and herself like a soldier
Knocked on doors
Where people were literally indoors
Told “You’re a woman fight! “
“Whatever you have will make you fit”
It was an unanswered prayer
While others saw her as a player
But one morning
She asked a job for cleaning
And that’s how she got a job
She became a nanny
