TOXIC FRIENDS

I have lived with roommates,
Among them intelligent, brilliant and vibrant,
They were called fools in wise coats,
They made me a pagan.

I believed in the smoke they blew,
The white pellets we crushed and puffed,
They gave me a presidential feeling,
They made me a slave.

I couldn’t have enough of it
My days created space for it,
My afternoon was sandwiched in scents of smokes,
It’s now three years.

I can’t uplift myself out of this hellhole
I’m alive but dead without it,
I can’t believe how much I’ve lost,
They ruined my life

This is my plea,
Stay safe and sound,
Avoid substances and drug use,
They made me not to see
That’s why I’m leading a miserable life!
