Say No to Discrimination

by Bukola Oshinfowokan

We are black
We are seen as the serpent
Cause they think we are deleterious
Colour is yardstick
to measure the rights
where our opinions
are not embraced
survival of the fittest
Cause our life is at stake

Black is beauty I say
But we are seen
as tools to be manipulated
We are helpless and voiceless

The government is in favor
of the white…
We cry out our eyes
We are shouting
but no one is listening

Our heart cry,
flooding the world
Who will listen
to our voices without laughter
We are black
We aren’t recognized as humans.
