By Sheila Mumbo
I long for a love that’s true and genuine,
One that doesn’t seem to tear me down,
Each time I express my opinion,
You make me feel stupid,
Worthless and out of my mind,
I spend all my nights crying,
Soaking my pillows,
I should’ve known my place in your life,
She’s yours and I’m not,
Sad that I can’t call in the morning,
Or late at night,
Or express what I really feel,
Was I stupid?
Was I blinded by love?
Did I fall for the wrong person?
I’d never know the answers,
Sadly I pushed you back in her arms.
