Didn’t want to tell
Didn’t want to write
Didn’t wish to know
But then her inked tears fell
They were inked with sorrow
Signed with blood
Accursed with bitter memories
Of the silent nights
The ones spent in despair
The ones spent with the blade
The ones hidden from the world
O how I wish I didn’t know
How I wish I was blind
Then I would be silent
Then we could still play
Sing songs out of tune
Dance without rhythm
But fate played a joke
Today I know
Staring at the walls
Lost in thoughts
The noises so loud
The despair so deafening
Is this how it feels like?
Is this what it feels like to fall?
Is this what it is to lose?
To lose to your inner demons
I wish I was blind
Then I would see the scars
I wish I was mute
Then my voice would be the silence
I wish I was deaf
Then I wouldn’t hear them scream out loud for me
I wouldn’t feel them choke me
But I’m normal
Caged in a sea of insanities.
