SOUND OF EARTH

Green when blooming with life
Brown when faced with eminent demise
Black when dead and rotting
White when covered with frost

The world speaks loudest  but not with words
With rains filling the rivers and lakes,  then flooding
With the sun that basks everything with gold,  then scorching
The world speaks loud but its unheard

The world speaks in quakes
Quakes that rips the ground open
Chucking out what lies in its belly
The word speaks loudest in the quiet of night
Speaks loudest in the chaos of day
