I never knew how to write love poems
But when your soul subscribed to my heart
I understood the commands of love,
And every dream became a revelation
Your tenderness muffled my wild conscious
In the daisy chain of Loneliness
And I’m no longer a quarry.
I was lax and numb to fall in love
But when you appeared in my life
You enleavened my darkness in the midst of
Wreckers of doom.
I was a masochist but when you came
You taught me what sharing entailed.
As a neophyte in relationship you
Became my guide, step by step
You made my heart pump blood like an
Infant again, what a rebirth!
I felt so fresh since you opened my soft spot.
I could call you poetry ‘cause we rhymed so
Well.
Through the light of nature I became an
Ornithologist specifically for the lovebirds
Because you had become my dove.
I was unforgiving, you taught me how to let go.
I was bitter, you became my butter.
I love
O love
O love
I love you my Daisy.
O Daisy
My Daisy! You’re phenomenal…
