The society thinks you are very bad,
They think and warn that you are a monster,
And that you are the epitome of all evil.
They claim you are marred, the destroyer,
That you destroy all that you come across.
To the society, you are the bad example,
That which is used for scaring children,
The monster under their beds in the night.
Because you killed that woman, Angelica,
They judge you so harshly and loathe you,
They don’t let you explain why you did it.
They judge you because the life you took,
Was that of a woman, and a socialite,
Because they think women are harmless,
The poorest perception of humans, and hence,
They regard you as the worst of the disgraced.
If only they let you speak your peace,
They would have known, it was self-defense.
That it was either your life or hers,
And that the universe left you no choice.
They would have known the promise you made,
To me and our then unborn angel, no lies,
That you would always come home to us.
And also that you keep your promises.
They should have listened to you my love,
But they didn’t, and instead ignored your pleas,
Using falsified evidence, they sent you to prison for life,
Away from me, away from our baby,
All in the name of justice, which they corrupted.
And Angelica got the favor that wasn’t right,
Once again the treacherous won in the name of the law.
Even justice can be bought sweetheart, so I learnt.
As I watched TV, I saw your face, you escaped,
And I’ve never been so happy, took you long enough.
Finally I’d get to see you, and touch you since months,
I’d get to feel your rough hands and cracked lips.
I packed our necessities love, fugitive or not,
You are our home, without you there is nothing,
Absolutely nothing to hold on to anymore.
So here I am, do make me a part of your sins,
For I can’t live without you love, it’s an impossibility.
