Mama was the first name l pronounced
I called it with so much hope within
It was like being saved from distress

Mama was and is still my first love
The way she held my hand as I took my first steps
My meals were freshly made with extra love
The fresh wounds were tended to with care

Mama is the woman that keeps me going
Through her strong will to live l breath
I toil to just put a smile on her face
