HARSH JURY.

I was left forgotten,
Yet they told me I was begotten,
Love was a phrase embraced in mind,
A heart left to hurt,
And no one to mind,
But this was my kind,
People with no kind,
An orphan by condition,
With a past full of conviction,
And a future that remains uncertain,
If life was a window I’d draw my curtain,
Put an end to the judgement,
To the seclusion,
The condemnation,
Maybe I’d start a new way,
Hear a different say, that of hope and love,
Embrace what I’ve lost,
Erase the past,
Find happiness at last,
But no, it’s a reality,
An orphan left abandoned,
Yet not pardoned,
Judged for the mistakes of parents,
A tag I have to carry,
And emptiness I can’t bury,
Life was harsh,
But the Virus was harsh jury.
