In the beginning there was one
Then there was another
And then came a multitude
As our numbers grew
Our humanity wavered
The conscience slowly
Drifting, far and further
Till it was though we bore none
Times have changed
For better or worse
That’s left for you to muse
Life is precious, that’s universal
When did we begin deciding upon
Which was more, which was less? I ask
We seek out for rights to do
whatsoever we please
Perhaps were are right to do so
But how did we come to settle on
Whose rights were greater? I wonder
The choices we make not only affects us, sadly
The universe was born of a single event
That one sparked an infinite
And everything there is was made.
Your choices are not only your own
You should heed that very least
When you do, mayhap you’ll be shrewd
And make better ones.
