By Poet Rays
This poem is about a fairy tale,
Except, I get to write the ending, I get to pick the heading,
So this tale has no Fictional Creatures with tails,
This tale though entails
details of true Love,
You see,
A poet, Fell in love with a Singer,
Theirs was love at first sight,
From there;
They had countless sleepless nights,
Nights of sweet nothing’s,
They couldn’t find dreams,
Cuz they were dreaming out loud,
Even if they were far much apart, the distance couldn’t match the Love, they had for each other,
You see,
Their souls were intertwined, or
should I say;
Their souls mated;
They became Soulmates,
At some point when one breath in;
The other wad breathing out,
Their worlds literary merged,
But,
You know what they say about modern fairy tales;
Happy hopeful beginnings always end ar hurtful destinations,
The fog clears and their future gets clearer,
except,
there is no future for both,
So, most nights,
One of them lies down in bed,
Stuck in between agony and loneliness,
But, too scared to reach out,
One thinks about the other
Wondering if they too are,
Wondering was it all an illusion?
is Love Really One Big illusion? And
they sleep on that thought,
They sleep with foolish broken hearts,
They sleep with those selfish little muscles called hearts,
they sleep, as their tale hits that ending Dot.
Wondering,
What happened to Happy ever afters?
