MY HEART A BROKEN INSTRUMENT
Loosen all your wings
Reside in my heart
Defenseless,In me you confide
In him I froze sod,My fears omitted
His words still echo,”I’ll mend you ”
I’ll unfold the petals of your flower, Bloom Beauty!
In my ears he whispered,I love you denude
This was before the gloryRoughen your feathers I’ll lead you to fruition
Your eyes rheumy but I’ll peddle you through natural light
My beautiful Damsel! Oh I love you demure
From the world I hide my sanity
For his Animosity has deprived me benevolence
On the ground I lay
To the heavens I waive
This was before the gloryMy heart, A broken instrument that seeks function
Nobody sees but it hurts more on breathing
I need a doorway crack to find rebirth
Weak,Defeated and forever stripped
My wings loosened ,My feathers roughened
My natured petal ,forever withered
This was before the gloryMy moral rectitude ,diminished
As it rises I stare at my scars that dimmed my sparkle
My trepidations triumphed
Mama I failed
In my womb the fruit of infidelity grows
No reception on arrival, Never will it be sanctioned by the society
With pride I’ll nurture the scar
This was before gloryBehold! Its a lesson for a lifetime
I found solitude in pursuit of solace
From the fallen wings I gathered reasons to fly again
Was once a confection of untrustworthy memories and lies
To glory I sail fervently.©LUVATE STELLA
