By Sheila Mumbo
We might let a soul slide
Sliding away from this life
And we ask why words were hidden
Not sure when they were spoken
We might let a soul slide
Listening to the slow whispers
Of mere meaningless words
Forgetting about the feelings too
We might let a soul slide
Focusing on avoiding gazes
Letting them fade to darkness
Shutting them off completely
Let the words be heard
Forget about the cast stones
Let kindness flow all through
Choose to listen to the emotions
